A one-month campaign that triggered a sales hire
A US social media marketing agency targeting local businesses across its metro area. One month of outbound created more interested prospects than they could handle.
A social media marketing agency serving local businesses across a major US metro. We pointed a tightly local campaign at the businesses on their doorstep, and it worked almost too well.
The situation
They run social media for local businesses within a radius of their city. Plenty of potential clients nearby, but no consistent way to start conversations with them. They wanted a steady stream of local owners to talk to.
What I did
- Built a tightly local list: businesses within range of their metro, the kind that benefit from social media done properly
- Wrote copy that led with local relevance, neighbour to neighbour rather than a faceless pitch
- Set up and ran the whole thing end to end: inboxes, domains, lists and sequences
The result
In a single month: around 4,750 unique prospects contacted, 96 replies and 15 positive leads.
Then came the good problem. Enough of those prospects wanted meetings that the team couldn’t keep up, so they paused the campaign to hire a dedicated salesperson before switching it back on. A strong month, and a real one: the demand was there, they just needed the people to handle it.
