31 positive replies in week one, from a coffee truck
A mobile coffee business going after nearby companies, offering the truck as a staff perk. One tightly targeted local campaign, 31 positive replies in the first week.
One of my clients runs a coffee truck. The idea behind the campaign couldn’t be simpler: get the truck booked as a staff perk for businesses nearby, a proper morning coffee round for their teams.
The situation
A great local business with a very local problem. To stay booked out, she needed a steady flow of nearby companies to pitch to, the kind with enough people to justify a regular coffee round. Cold email was the obvious lever, but it had to feel personal. Nobody wants a faceless, national-sounding email from the coffee van down the road.
What I did
- Built a tightly targeted local list, businesses within a few miles and the right size to actually want a regular coffee round
- Wrote warm, simple copy that read neighbour-to-neighbour, offering the truck as a staff perk rather than pitching hard
- Set up and paid for the inboxes, domains and warmup on my side, so deliverability was clean from day one
The result so far
We’re only one week in, around a quarter of the way through the first month, and it’s already working. 1,500 emails out, 59 replies, and 31 of those positive. The bounce rate sat at 1.1%, which tells you the list was clean and the inboxes well warmed.
The diary’s filling with coffee rounds, and we’ve still got most of the month to run.
